Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Consulting Bookkeeper to join our team in the construction industry. This position will play a significant role in managing the financial operations of our company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping and financial management, with a particular focus on the construction industry. Responsibilities:

As a Consulting Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:

1. Managing all aspects of bookkeeping, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, high volume AP processing, and time record keeping.
2. Performing bank account reconciliations on a regular basis to ensure accuracy.
3. Utilizing QuickBooks Desktop & Online to maintain financial records and reports.
4. Managing financial transactions across multiple entities and ensuring all financial operations are in compliance with legal regulations and company policies.
5. Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
6. Providing financial consulting and strategic support to senior management including preparing financial presentations, capital expenditure analysis, industry/peer group comparisons, new business opportunities, acquisition analysis and other projects as requested.
7. Assisting in the development and implementation of systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the position of Consulting Bookkeeper will have the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or financial management, preferably within the construction industry.
2. Proficiency in using QuickBooks Desktop & Online, as well as other financial management software.
3. Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank account reconciliations.
4. Experience with high volume AP processing and time record keeping.
5. Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail, with a strong focus on accuracy.
6. Ability to manage multiple entities and complex financial transactions.
7. Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data and prepare financial reports.
8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial colleagues.
9. A proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. A relevant degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
