Job Details

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Bookkeeper, you will be expected to:

1. Maintain and balance the general ledger in an accurate, complete, and up-to-date manner.
2. Perform all activities related to the accounts payable function including reviewing, coding, and processing payments.
3. Perform account receivable functions including invoicing, deposits, collections, and revenue recognition.
4. Prepare bank and general ledger reconciliations, and monthly financial statements.
5. Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
6. Prepare and analyze budgets, and perform general bookkeeping.
7. Manage the processing of cash receipts, recording of revenue and receivables and work closely with the team to ensure that revenues and receivables in the company are accurately recorded.
8. Assist in year-end audits and in providing auditors with accounting documents as required.
9. Prepare, review, reconcile, and issue bills, invoices, and account statements according to company procedures.
10. Follow-up and resolve past due accounts and vendor invoices until payment in full is received or resolved.
11. Perform data entry associated with accounts payable.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
3. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software programs.
4. Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
5. Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
6. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
7. Excellent data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.
8. Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software.
9. Proficiency in English and in MS Office.
10. Customer service orientation and negotiation skills.
11. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
12. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
