We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Bookkeeper for our rapidly growing real estate company. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing the financial records of our real estate properties, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. You will also be in charge of preparing and examining financial records, ensuring that records are accurate and that taxes are paid properly and on time. This role demands a high level of integrity, the ability to work independently, and strong problem-solving skills.

Job Details

Responsibilities:
1. Manage all aspects of day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting processes including but not limited to: A/P, A/R, payroll, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
2. Conduct regular audits to ensure that financial transactions are properly recorded, reconciled, and entered into the system.
3. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for properties.
4. Maintain an accurate record of financial transactions and ensure all necessary documents are kept for reference purposes.
5. Coordinate with the property management team to verify all rent payments are collected and properly recorded.
6. Ensure compliance with state and federal tax laws and regulations.
7. Create and implement financial policies to guarantee operational efficiency.
8. Oversee the preparation and timely submission of all financial reports.
9. Develop plans for financial growth and assist in the development of the annual budget.

Qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Must have a minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably within the real estate industry.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with exceptional skills in Excel.
4. Familiarity with property management and real estate software is a plus.
5. Strong understanding of business and income tax worksheets and computations.
6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
7. High attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to multitask.
8. Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles.
9. Ability to work independently, with little supervision.
