Established in 2012 in Virginia, we provide damage prevention solutions to utility companies and municipalities. Through the 811 call center, we locate underground facilities through established on-call contracts. We are responsible for marking gas, water, sewer, electric, and fiber. We also provides private utility-locating services to homeowners and contractors.

He is responsible for eliminating/reducing damages to underground utilities during any kind of excavation. On our largest contract, the firm has a 99.99% accuracy ratio. We provide 24/7 services to our clients.

Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated BIM (Building Information Modeling) Technician to join our dynamic team in the Construction industry. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a passion for BIM technology and a keen eye for detail. You will be responsible for creating and managing digital representations of physical and functional characteristics of places. This role is integral to our success and requires a unique combination of technical, creative, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the implementation of BIM processes and standards across all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to develop and maintain BIM execution plans.
  • Manage BIM models and datasets, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Facilitate clash detection and resolution meetings to identify and resolve design conflicts.
  • Provide technical support and training to project team members on BIM software and workflows.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging BIM technologies and best practices and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Conduct regular audits of BIM models to ensure adherence to established protocols and standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of BIM deliverables for client presentations and submissions.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience working in BIM coordination roles within the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD.
  • Strong understanding of BIM standards and protocols
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and construction processes.
  • Must be highly proficient in Revit, Civil 3D, and Navisworks.
  • Creating, modifying, and using families in Revit and Pipe Network Part building in Civil 3d.
  • Working knowledge of how to bring file formats such as .rvt, .dwg, .dwf. and/or .nwc together in cases where Civil 3D and Revit models must be pulled together.
  • Creation of sheet templates for Revit and Civil 3D
  • Creating surfaces and corridors in Civil 3D.
  • Creating alignments and surface profiles in Civil 3D
