Our organization is seeking an experienced (contract to hire) Benefits Administrator to join our team! This role is integral to our Human Resources department, providing expert advice on group employee benefits programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for open enrollment, employee database management, cost savings analysis, workers' compensation, and more. This position requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to design quality benefits plans. The administrator continually investigates new benefits programs, improves existing programs, and supervises and monitors benefits administration.

Job Details

Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all aspects of benefits administration, including open enrollment, benefits plans, compliance, COBRA, QDROs, QMCSOs, and section 125 plans.
2. Maintain and manage the employee database, ensuring all employee benefits data is accurate and up-to-date.
3. Conduct cost savings analysis to identify opportunities for improving the cost-effectiveness of our benefits programs.
4. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including those related to COBRA, QDROs, QMCSOs, workers' compensation, and section 125 plans.
5. Collaborate with the sales team to ensure they are fully informed about our benefits programs and can effectively communicate these to potential clients.
6. Resolve any benefits-related issues or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
7. Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in benefits administration, and recommend changes or improvements to our current practices as necessary.

Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in benefits administration.
2. Extensive knowledge of benefits-related regulations, including COBRA, QDROs, QMCSOs, workers' compensation, and section 125.
3. Proven experience managing an employee database and handling open enrollment and benefits plans.
4. Strong analytical skills, with a proven ability to conduct cost savings analysis and identify opportunities for improvement.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex benefits information to a diverse range of stakeholders.
6. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve benefits-related issues or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
7. A proactive approach, with the ability to stay updated on the latest trends and developments in benefits administration and recommend changes or improvements as necessary.
8. A bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
9. SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP and CEBS professional designations preferred.
