BAS Controls Technician / Specialist

A manufacturer’s representative for a wide variety of Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) equipment. We specialize in critical environments (Pressurized Spaces) and Commercial HVAC applications throughout Maryland, Washington DC and Virginia.

Overview: Actively seeking a BAS Controls Technician / Specialist to join a manufacturer’s representative company that specializes in critical environments (Pressurized Spaces) and Commercial HVAC applications . This role is responsible for installing, programing, and servicing digital control systems while maintaining quality, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

This position is generally a Monday to Friday, 40 hour a week job and most days will be spent on job sites in our service area. Some job sites are existing buildings that are being retrofitted or require service, and some sites are buildings which are being newly constructed.

Job Details

• Install complete building automation systems (BAS).
• Start up, testing, commissioning and servicing controls projects.
• Train the customer on controls systems as directed
• Modify existing programs and troubleshooting to maintain optimum system operation.
• Verify correct system and control sequence operations.
• Review, modify, and implement programming changes to building automation system to ensure efficient and effective system operations and conformance with standards and guidelines and energy savings.
• Calibrate, repair, and replace building automation system sensing devices to specifications.

MUST HAVE:

• 2+ years of building automation (BAS/BMS) or HVAC controls experience
• Willingness to be in the field locally at client sites roughly 80% of the time.
• Familiarity with one or more of the following BAS systems: Schneider Electric, Siemens, JCI, ALC, Trane, Delta Controls, Distech, Honeywell, or others

• Phoenix Controls
