We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Automation and Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a permanent member of our engineering department, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing complex automation systems to improve our production processes. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your technical expertise in automation, control systems, and industrial engineering to drive efficiency and productivity in our operations.

Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop and implement automated systems to increase efficiency and streamline processes across the production line.
2. Perform system integration and testing to ensure the smooth operation of all automated systems.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand operational needs and develop appropriate automation solutions.
4. Conduct root cause analysis of automation issues and develop strategies to prevent future occurrences.
5. Oversee the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all control systems and machinery.
6. Prepare technical reports, documentation, and operating manuals for the automation systems.
7. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and advancements in automation and control systems.
8. Provide training and support to operational staff on the use and maintenance of automation systems.
9. Comply with all safety and health regulations and maintain a safe and clean working environment.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Automation and Controls Engineer or in a similar role in the engineering industry.
3. Solid understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems, as well as industry-specific equipment.
4. Proficient in the use of various automation software and programming languages.
5. Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
6. Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead projects from conception to completion.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and interact with staff at all levels.
8. Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulations related to automation and control systems.
9. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
10. Certified Control Systems Technician (CCST) or Professional Engineer (PE) certification will be an advantage.
