Job Details:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Audit Senior to join our dynamic finance team. This role is focused on the Not for Profit (NFP) / Government sector, and the successful candidate will be tasked with overseeing our audit engagements within these sectors. This is a permanent role and requires a candidate who is well-versed in the financial intricacies of both the NFP and government sectors.

Responsibilities:

As the Audit Senior, you will be responsible for:

1. Leading and managing audit engagements to deliver quality audit services to our NFP and government clients.
2. Planning and coordinating the auditing process, overseeing a team of auditors, and ensuring that audits are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
3. Reviewing the clients’ financial statements, accounting records, and operations to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
4. Providing insights and recommendations based on audit results and presenting these findings to senior management.
5. Keeping abreast of current developments in the NFP and government sectors, including changes in accounting standards and regulations.
6. Ensuring compliance with GAAP, GASB, FASB, USFR, OMB, and federal compliance standards.
7. Assisting in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
8. Collaborating with internal teams and clients to improve financial processes and controls.

Qualifications:

Candidates for the role of Audit Senior should possess the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification is preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in auditing, preferably within the NFP and government sectors.
3. Strong knowledge of GAAP, GASB, FASB, USFR, OMB, and federal compliance standards.
4. Proven experience in managing audit engagements and leading a team of auditors.
5. Exceptional analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
7. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
8. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
