Our company is on the hunt for a highly skilled and motivated Permanent Audit Senior Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team. This role is ideal for someone who has a deep understanding of public accounting and internal audit, preferably with experience in a manufacturing or retail environment. As an Audit Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing our financial operations, ensuring the accuracy of our financial records, and providing expert advice to our senior management. Responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute financial and operational audits in accordance with the company's annual audit plan.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Prepare and present audit findings to senior management, highlighting areas of risk and suggesting practical solutions.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Act as a key liaison with external auditors, providing necessary information and answering queries.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in financial regulations and legislation.
  • Participate in special projects as required, including due diligence assignments, fraud investigations, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of the audit team.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting and/or internal audit.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or retail environment is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of non-profit accounting principles would be an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to ethical standards.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for audit assignments.
