Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and Manage Audit Engagements: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of audit engagements, ensuring they are conducted in accordance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Manage multiple audit teams and assignments simultaneously.
  • Client Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships. Address clients' concerns and provide expert advice on accounting and financial matters.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy and quality of audit work performed. Review audit documentation, financial statements, and reports for compliance with professional and firm standards.
  • Staff Supervision and Development: Supervise, train, and mentor junior audit staff and seniors. Conduct performance reviews and contribute to the professional development of team members.
  • Risk Management: Identify audit risks and develop appropriate response strategies. Ensure compliance with internal controls and risk management procedures.
  • Business Development: Participate in business development activities to help expand the firm’s client base. Contribute to proposals and presentations for potential clients.
  • Technical Research and Consultation: Stay updated with changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry practices. Provide technical guidance and support to clients and staff.
Operational Efficiency: Contribute to enhancing the efficiency of audit processes and procedures. Implement new technologies and methodologies to improve audit effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Report Preparation and Presentation: Prepare and present detailed audit reports to clients and firm management, highlighting findings and recommendations.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all audits comply with professional standards and regulatory requirements. Stay informed of changes in audit regulations and standards.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration is preferred.
  • Certification: CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification is required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on auditing. Prior experience in a managerial role is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB standards. Proficiency in accounting and audit software.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven leadership and team management abilities. Ability to mentor and develop staff.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with clients and team members.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret and analyze financial data.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing environments and client needs. Flexibility to work extra hours during busy audit seasons.
