Audit Manager

We are a top 50 national CPA firm seeking an Audit Manager. You will be at the helm of our audit team, leading audit engagements and ensuring the highest quality of audit services in the non-profit industry. You will be responsible for managing client relationships, reviewing audit work, and mentoring junior audit staff. This role demands a dynamic, detail-oriented, and experienced professional with a strong background in non-profit auditing. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients and provide strategic audit services that will greatly impact their financial operations.

CPAs with a focus in non-profit are highly preferred - Columbia or Towson, MD.

Responsibilities

• Leading and managing multiple audit engagements to deliver quality audit services.
• Overseeing the preparation and analysis of financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
• Ensuring the accurate completion and timely filing of 990 forms.
• Conducting single audits in accordance with Uniform Guidance.
• Providing insights and recommendations based on audit findings.
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients to understand their business and financial needs.
• Mentoring and training junior audit staff to enhance their skills and performance.
• Collaborating with other team members to devise best practices and continual improvements in our audit approach.
• Staying updated with industry trends, changes in audit regulations, and new audit methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA certification is mandatory.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in auditing, preferably in the non-profit sector.
• Extensive knowledge of GAAP, Form 990, Single Audit, and Uniform Guidance.
• Proven track record of managing multiple audit engagements.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop team members.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
