We seek a seasoned, dynamic, highly analytical Permanent Audit Manager to join our team in the Tucson area. The ideal candidate will have a strong government and nonprofit auditing background, with a proven track record of managing complex audit projects, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting operational efficiency. Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of audit projects for government and nonprofit clients, including planning, execution, and completion.
• Ensure compliance with GASB, FASB, GAAP, Arizona Revised Statutes (A.R.S.), Uniform System of Financial Records (USFR), and federal regulations.
• Conduct internal and external audits, ensuring accurate financial reporting and identifying areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement quality control programs to enhance audit processes and outcomes.
• Perform annual internal inspection procedures and make peer review report findings available to the public.
• Manage Single Audits (OMB Uniform Guidance) and ensure federal compliance.
• Provide strategic guidance on the implementation of accounting standards and regulatory changes.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes, enhance financial transparency, and improve operational efficiency.
• Train and mentor junior staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required. A Master's degree is preferred.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is mandatory.
• Minimum of 5 years of audit management experience, focusing on government and nonprofit sectors.
• Proficient in nonprofit audit, GASB, Governmental Accounting Standards Board regulations, and Arizona Revised Statutes (A.R.S.).
• Solid understanding of the Uniform System of Financial Records (USFR), GAAP, and federal compliance.
• Proven experience in internal and external auditing, regulatory compliance, and audit management.
• Strong knowledge of Single Audits (OMB Uniform Guidance) and experience in performing annual internal inspection procedures.
• Experience establishing quality control programs and making peer-reviewed report findings available to the public.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
