Audio/Visual Support Specialist

Prominent client in NYC looking for Audio Visual Specialist to join their team.

Position Overview:
The Audio/Visual Support Specialist will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise in all aspects of audiovisual equipment and systems. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of audiovisual technology for various events, presentations, and meetings within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and troubleshoot audiovisual equipment including projectors, microphones, speakers, video conferencing systems, and other related hardware and software.
Set up and dismantle audiovisual equipment for meetings, conferences, and events, ensuring optimal functionality and performance.
Conduct regular maintenance checks and updates to ensure the reliability and efficiency of audiovisual systems.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their audiovisual requirements and provide technical guidance and support as needed.
Assist in the planning and execution of audiovisual setups for company events, ensuring that all technical requirements are met.
Provide training and support to end-users on the operation of audiovisual equipment and software.
Keep abreast of emerging audiovisual technologies and trends, and make recommendations for upgrades or improvements as necessary.
Maintain an inventory of audiovisual equipment and accessories, ensuring proper storage and organization.
Act as a point of contact for external vendors and service providers for audiovisual-related issues or requirements.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Audio Engineering, Multimedia Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
Proven experience in audiovisual support, installation, and maintenance, preferably in a corporate or professional environment.
Strong technical proficiency in audiovisual equipment and systems, including but not limited to projectors, sound systems, video conferencing platforms, and control systems.
Familiarity with audiovisual software and applications such as Adobe Creative Suite, Pro Tools, and video editing software.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality service and support.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work outside regular business hours as needed, particularly during events or projects with tight deadlines.
