Attorney

We are a Legal firm located in Los Angeles, California, with a particular emphasis on practice in the prosecution and defense of legal malpractice cases, attorney-client fee disputes, Personal Injury, and business litigation.
We have an opportunity for an Attorney with at least 4 years of Business or Legal Malpractice law and litigation experience to join the firm’s expanding practice. Duties include, but are not limited to, performing legal research, drafting legal memoranda, motions, and pleadings, arguing motions, taking and defending depositions, managing cases with minimal direct oversight, attending court conferences, handling discovery-related activities and investigations, and drafting position statements and dispositive motions, employee handbooks, policies, etc.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Attorney to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to handle a diverse range of cases, including Medical Malpractice, Personal Injury, Legal Malpractice, Professional Liability, and Business Law Litigation. As a Permanent Attorney, you will be providing legal advice and services to our clients, ensuring their legal rights and interests are protected. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings, conducting legal research, preparing for and conducting trials, and negotiating settlements. This position requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide legal representation to clients in court proceedings on civil matters including Medical Malpractice, Personal Injury, Legal Malpractice, Professional Liability, and Business Law Litigation.
2. Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case preparation and advise clients on their legal rights.
3. Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
4. Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in an effort to resolve matters favorably.
5. Develop and implement litigation strategies, and present oral arguments in court.
6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
7. Work collaboratively with legal support staff and maintain open communication with clients to keep them informed of case progress.

Qualifications:

1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on Medical Malpractice, Personal Injury, Legal Malpractice, Professional Liability, and Business Law Litigation.
3. Admission to the State Bar and in good standing.
4. Proven experience conducting comprehensive legal research.
5. Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to resolve complex legal issues.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. Ability to manage multiple cases with varying deadlines.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
9. High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
