Job Details:

We are currently seeking a seasoned Permanent Attorney specializing in Workers Compensation Defense to join our dynamic legal team. This role is a unique opportunity for a dedicated and ambitious professional to contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality legal services. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of California Workers Compensation laws, defense strategies, Subrogation & Recovery, and a proven track record of success in this field. This role will require a high level of professionalism, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Represent clients in all phases of workers' compensation defense litigation.
2. Develop and execute defense strategies, conduct discovery, and present cases at hearings, and trials.
3. Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents such as pleadings, discovery, and settlement agreements.
4. Provide legal advice and guidance to clients regarding workers' compensation laws and regulations.
5. Collaborate with a team of legal professionals to strategize and achieve optimum outcomes for our clients.
6. Stay updated on developments in workers' compensation laws and regulations and provide legal insights to clients.
7. Conduct settlement negotiations with opposing counsel and represent clients at mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
8. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their legal needs are met and exceeded.
9. Perform legal research and analysis on various legal matters of clients to ensure the legality of their actions.

Qualifications:

1. Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. Active membership in the California State Bar.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in workers' compensation defense.
4. Proficient understanding of California Workers Compensation laws, Subrogation & Recovery.
5. Proven track record of success in the courtroom.
6. Excellent negotiation, research, and communication skills.
7. Ability to handle high caseloads and juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions and resolve issues efficiently.
9. High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards.
10. Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
11. Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
12. Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present complex legal strategies to clients in an understandable manner.
