Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the design, planning, and implementation of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to a team of engineers and project managers.
  • Coordinate and communicate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure project objectives and timelines are met.
  • Review and approve project designs and deliverables, ensuring they are in line with company standards and client requirements.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and service delivery.
  • Participate in business development activities, including proposal development and client meetings.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and regulatory standards related to water and wastewater engineering.
  • Foster a culture of safety, innovation, and excellence within the team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree will be considered an asset.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
  • Minimum 15 years working as a Water Resources Engineer and Project Manager with at least (5) years of experience as a Department Lead/Manager for projects related to water, stormwater and wastewater system studies, water quality analyses, stormwater and sanitary sewer design, pump station design, water system design and wastewater system design.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of managing successful teams and projects.
  • Strong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes, design standards, and industry best practices.
  • Proficiency in using engineering software and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and teams.
