Associate Attorney

Remote Attorney Needed in CA! You can work from home in this role as long as you can come to Roseville once or twice a month! We are ideally looking for someone from the defense side. We work closely with a major insurance client.

We specialize in all aspects of civil litigation, from initial pleadings to discovery, trial, and, where necessary, appeal. This ability to handle a case from beginning to end gives us a unique insight into pinpointing critical legal and factual issues and focusing the litigation.

We're a growing firm, hiring a full time associate attorney. This role could be hybrid WFH, or fully remote, depending on your skill set, or location.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver a full range of legal services, primarily focusing on insurance litigation, personal injury, and civil litigation.
• Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend or prosecute lawsuits.
• Conduct research, interview clients and witnesses, and handle other details in preparation for trials.
• Prepare legal briefs, motions, and other pleadings in connection with trials, appeals, and other legal proceedings.
• Conduct depositions, arbitration, and mediation sessions while negotiating the best possible outcomes for our clients.
• Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses and provide legal advice.
• Develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
• Maintain client relationships and communicate regularly on case status and legal matters.
• Work collaboratively with a team to achieve case objectives, share insights, and develop legal knowledge.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Must hold a current, valid license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience as an Associate Attorney with a strong background in insurance litigation, personal injury, civil litigation, and negotiation.
• Proven experience with depositions and other aspects of the discovery process.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex legal points clearly and effectively.
