We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Associate Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a diverse range of transactional, real estate, land use, and civil litigation experience. This role will involve providing legal advice and representation to clients, preparing legal documents, and managing or advising on legal transactions. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our team, working directly with partners and clients in our growing practice.

1. Provide expert legal support and advice to clients.
2. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, leases, and other legal documents.
3. Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend or prosecute in civil litigation.
4. Prepare and file legal documents (e.g., deeds, mortgages, leases, lawsuits).
5. Conduct research and analysis of legal problems to interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
6. Conduct real estate closings, draft lease agreements, and handle land use issues.
7. Advise clients about their legal rights and responsibilities, and suggest actions in business or personal matters.
8. Manage all phases of discovery, including taking and defending depositions, drafting discovery responses, and managing document production.
9. Work closely with partners to develop and implement litigation strategy.
10. Participate in business development activities, including networking and proposal development.

Job Details

Qualifications:

1. Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
3. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a practicing attorney with a focus on transactional law, real estate, land use, and civil litigation.
4. Proven background in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and other legal documents.
5. Strong experience in managing complex legal transactions.
6. Exceptional analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
7. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
8. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
9. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
10. Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
11. Demonstrated commitment to maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion.
12. Excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently under pressure.
13. Strong commitment to professional development and willingness to stay updated with changes in law.
