Job Details:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Associate Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. This is a permanent position that requires a strong understanding and experience in various areas of law including litigation, civil litigation, commercial and business litigation, and transactional law. The ideal candidate will have more then two years of civil litigation experience, exceptional research skills, and a deep understanding of the legal systems in Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, or Maryland. This position will involve dealing with cases related to casualty, torts, and personal injury.

Responsibilities:

1. Handle a wide variety of legal issues including litigation, civil litigation, commercial and business litigation, and transactional law.
2. Conduct thorough and detailed legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
3. Represent clients in court, demonstrating exceptional trial skills and a thorough understanding of the legal systems in Virginia, North Carolina, or Maryland.
4. Manage cases related to casualty, torts, and personal injury, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our clients.
5. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, leases, and other legal documents.
6. Participate in moot court and law review activities to stay abreast of the latest developments in the legal field.
7. Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and staff to ensure seamless service to our clients.
8. Provide legal advice to clients in a clear, concise, and comprehensive manner.

Qualifications:

1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience as an Associate Attorney or a similar role in the Legal industry.
3. Active membership in the Virginia, North Carolina, or Maryland State Bars.
4. Proven experience in litigation, civil litigation, commercial and business litigation, and/or transactional law.
5. Strong legal research and writing skills.
6. Significant trial experience.
7. Experience in dealing with cases related to casualty, torts, and personal injury.
8. Participation in moot court and law review activities is a plus.
9. Experience in practicing in federal court.
10. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
11. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
12. Ability to handle a high case load and a willingness to go above and beyond to achieve results.
13. High levels of professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards.
