We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Attorney to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil rights, wrongful death actions, medical malpractice defense, and personal injury. The role provides an opportunity to work on complex and high-stakes litigation matters that require a high degree of legal acumen. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the most experienced attorneys in the field, offering an excellent platform for professional growth and development.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal representation to clients, presenting strong and detailed oral and written arguments.
  • Conduct comprehensive case investigations to establish facts and whether they can support a legal argument.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents such as wills, deeds, patent applications, mortgages, leases, and contracts.
  • Review legal documents and advice on legal rights and obligations to clients.
  • Represent clients in court and before quasi-judicial or administrative agencies of government.
  • Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
  • Confer with colleagues to establish and verify the basis for legal proceedings.
  • Handle wrongful death actions, medical malpractice defense, and personal injury cases.
  • Conduct pre-trial discovery, negotiate settlements, and execute settlements following closure of cases.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws, legal news, and changes in the legal industry.

Qualifications:

  • J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
  • Must be an active member in good standing with the State Bar.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an attorney, preferably in civil rights, wrongful death actions, medical malpractice defense, and personal injury.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex cases from start to finish, including experience in trial proceedings.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to think strategically.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to resolve conflicts and disputes.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain professional client relationships.
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong research and report writing skills.
  • Proficiency in legal case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
