Our prestigious law firm is seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Associate Attorney to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil defense and litigation, with a proven track record of providing superior legal advice and services. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual to advance their career in the legal industry, working alongside some of the most respected professionals in the field.

Responsibilities:
1. Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in civil litigation.
2. Prepare and draft various legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery documents.
3. Provide legal advice to clients on their legal rights and obligations.
4. Conduct legal research and analysis of legal problems to interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
5. Participate in the development of defense strategies, negotiate settlements for legal disputes, and argue cases in state and federal court.
6. Conduct pretrial depositions, prepare and argue pre and post-trial motions, conduct complex discovery, and engage in significant contact with opposing counsel.
7. Maintain client relationships and communicate with clients to explain their legal options and provide advice on the best legal strategy for their case.
8. Collaborate with partners and support staff to ensure a high level of client service is maintained.

Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. Active member of the state Bar in good standing.
3. Minimum of 2+ years of experience as an attorney, with a focus on civil defense and litigation.
4. Exceptional knowledge of civil law, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules, and the democratic political process.
5. Proven experience in drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, and providing sound legal advice.
6. Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound judgment calls.
8. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines concurrently, with exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
9. High degree of professional ethics, integrity, and gravitas.
