Responsibilities:
Assist clients in developing comprehensive estate plans, including the creation of wills, trusts, and advance directives.
Provide legal advice on tax implications and asset protection strategies.
Guide clients through the probate process and administer trusts and estates.
Ensure compliance with legal requirements and deadlines.
Communicate with clients to understand their specific needs and goals.
Provide clear and concise legal advice on trust and estate matters.
Prepare and review legal documents related to trusts, wills, powers of attorney, and other estate planning instruments.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of all legal documents.
Represent clients in probate court proceedings.
Handle contested matters related to trusts and estates.
Stay in the know of changes in trust and estate laws and regulations.
Ensure compliance with ethical standards and legal principles.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Admitted to practice law in New Jersey
3 years of experience in Trust and Estate law.
Strong legal research and writing skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Demonstrated commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with trust and estate planning software/tools.
Prior experience in a law firm specializing in Trust and Estate law.
