Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic, dedicated, and detail-oriented Associate Attorney specializing in Personal Injury and Medical Malpractice to join our esteemed legal team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment, providing legal services to a diverse clientele. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing all aspects of personal injury and medical malpractice cases from inception through resolution, including conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, preparing and responding to discovery, taking and defending depositions, negotiating settlements, and trial work.

Responsibilities:
1. Manage a caseload of personal injury and medical malpractice cases from inception through resolution.
2. Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case progression and strategy development.
3. Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
4. Prepare and respond to discovery requests and handle all pre-trial activities.
5. Conduct and defend depositions, and represent clients in court proceedings, including motion hearings and trials.
6. Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurance companies in the best interest of the clients.
7. Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and advice on their cases.
8. Collaborate with legal team members to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive approach to case management.
9. Stay updated on current laws, regulations, and industry trends related to personal injury and medical malpractice.

Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
3. Minimum of 2+ years of experience in personal injury and medical malpractice litigation.
4. Proven track record of successfully managing a diverse caseload.
5. Excellent legal research, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
6. Proficient in drafting legal documents and pleadings.
7. Experience in conducting and defending depositions.
8. Ability to represent clients in court proceedings effectively.
9. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
11. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
12. Proficient in using legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
13. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
