Associate Attorney - Insurance Defense

A mid-sized law firm, Fields Howell's attorneys work closely together to work on complex matters received from both domestic and international clients. Due to the nature of the work, our attorneys handle matters across all 50 states and Latin America.

Associates work closely with Partners on all phases of litigation, from claim investigations following catastrophic losses, case evaluation and reporting, discovery, depositions, mediations and arbitrations, and trial presentation. Attorneys are expected to be skilled litigators who are able to defend insurers and their insureds in personal injury, premises liability, and general liability matters.

The ideal candidate will have:

4+ years of litigation experience; insurance defense experience preferred
Experience taking and defending depositions, attending mediations, and participating in settlement negotiations
Ability to handle significant case load in a fast-paced environment
Excellent legal research and writing skills
Strong attention to detail
Superb interpersonal skills
