Job Details
We are seeking a junior Associate Attorney with an interest in Commercial/Civil Litigation to join our fast-paced, high-performing legal team.
This is a unique opportunity to join a well-established firm, offering the chance to work on a diverse range of cases, with a particular emphasis on commercial litigation, bankruptcy, and franchising. You will be expected to manage your own caseload, work independently, and collaborate effectively with our team of experienced attorneys.
As a Permanent Associate Attorney, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
1. Representing clients in all aspects of commercial and civil litigation.
2. Providing legal counsel on franchising matters, including drafting franchise agreements, advising on franchise law, and negotiating franchise disputes.
3. Handling all aspects of bankruptcy proceedings, including filing petitions, negotiating with creditors, and representing clients in court.
4. Managing your own caseload, including conducting research, drafting legal documents, and preparing for and attending court hearings and trials.
5. Collaborating effectively with a team of attorneys to develop legal strategies and ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.
6. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of changes in commercial and civil litigation law, bankruptcy law, and franchise law.
7. Providing exceptional customer service, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and ethical conduct at all times.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Associate Attorney position possesses the following qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admitted to practice law in the state of Colorado.
3. Ideally a minimum of 1 year of Associate Attorney experience, with a background in franchising and bankruptcy, but a solid clerk background and good grades will also be considered
4. Proven track record of successfully managing a diverse caseload.
5. Excellent research, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills.
6. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and work effectively as part of a team.
7. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly and persuasively articulate complex legal concepts.
8. High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
