Job Details:

We are currently seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our construction team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to play a vital part in managing commercial construction projects from the ground up, as well as tenant improvement projects. The successful candidate will be joining a team of dedicated professionals in a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding environment where you can grow your skills and make a significant impact.

Responsibilities:

As an Assistant Project Manager, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to:

• Assisting the Project Manager in planning, managing, and delivering construction projects on time, within budget, and in accordance with the project's quality standards.
• Coordinating and supervising the activities of the project team and subcontractors to ensure tasks are being completed as planned.
• Participating in the preparation of project budgets, schedules, and contracts.
• Monitoring the progress of the project, identifying any issues or delays, and implementing effective solutions.
• Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Participating in project meetings and providing regular updates to the Project Manager and other stakeholders.
• Assisting in the resolution of any conflicts or disputes that arise during the project.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date project documentation.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Assistant Project Manager position should possess the following qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction industry, specifically in commercial construction, ground-up, and tenant improvement projects.
• A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience in construction project management, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and contract management.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members, subcontractors, and clients.
• Proficiency in construction management software and other relevant computer applications such as Procore, Bluebeam, Excel, OST
• A thorough understanding of local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to different project sites as needed.
