Assistant Project Manager- Multifamily

We are currently hiring for an Assistant Project Manager for a large Multifamily Apartment project.

As an Assistant Project Manager, you will be expected to:

• Assist in planning and coordinating all aspects of the construction process, including hiring contractors and working with engineers, architects, and vendors.
• Ensure that the projects are completed on time and within budget, making any necessary adjustments along the way to ensure the successful completion of the project.
• Assist in the management of project documentation and records for the duration of the project.
• Help in preparing contracts and negotiating revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Aid in the implementation of the company’s safety policies and procedures and OSHA compliance.
• Assist in the preparation of project status reports and ensure project team is kept informed about project progress, risks, and issues that may impact client relations or project delivery.
• Collaborate with project team members to ensure all project requirements, deadlines, and schedules are on track.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager in the construction industry, specifically with multi-family apartment projects.
• Proven experience with stick frame and wood frame construction methods.
• Experience with precast parking garage construction is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of construction procedures, material and project management principles.
• Excellent time management ability and strong organizational skills.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in using project management software and other relevant computer applications.
• A bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field is preferred.
