We are seeking a motivated and experienced Permanent Assistant Project Manager (APM) to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. The APM will play a pivotal role in overseeing commercial tenant improvement (TI) projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Projects $1M-15M+ This role requires a minimum of 3+ years of experience in commercial TI project management. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of managing successful projects.

Responsibilities:

As an Assistant Project Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Assisting the Project Manager in planning and executing commercial TI projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
2. Coordinating with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure project plans and specifications are accurate and achievable.
3. Managing and supervising construction teams, ensuring they adhere to safety regulations and quality standards.
4. Preparing and presenting project updates to stakeholders, including potential challenges and proposed solutions.
5. Conducting site visits to monitor progress and address any issues that arise.
6. Assisting in the preparation of budgets and schedules, and ensuring project costs are controlled effectively.
7. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
8. Participating in project meetings and providing input on project planning and execution.
9. Assisting in the resolution of any disputes or issues that arise during the construction process.
10. Continually seeking ways to improve project efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Assistant Project Manager position will possess the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 3+ years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager or Commercial TI Project Manager in the construction industry.
2. Proven experience in managing commercial TI projects, with a strong understanding of construction processes and principles.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
4. Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and manage construction teams.
5. Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and resolve issues effectively.
6. Proficient in project management software and other relevant IT tools.
7. A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
8. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
9. A strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
10. A proactive attitude, with the ability to take initiative and work independently.
