We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Plant Manager to join our high-performing team in the Manufacturing industry. This role will provide you with the opportunity to contribute to our business growth by optimizing our production processes and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will be working closely with the Plant Manager to ensure efficient and safe operations of all plant functions, while also being responsible for managing the workforce, implementing automation strategies, and overseeing production rates.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist the Plant Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring that the plant runs smoothly and effectively meets production objectives.
2. Develop and implement lean manufacturing strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce waste.
3. Utilize your knowledge of PLC and HMI to drive automation and improve the production process.
4. Manage capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
5. Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) regulations.
6. Oversee food production processes to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
7. Manage labor force, ensuring optimal utilization and promoting a positive work environment.
8. Monitor production rates and implement strategies to improve productivity and efficiency.
9. Collaborate with other department heads to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.
10. Participate in the development and implementation of plant policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field is required.
2. Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a managerial role within the manufacturing industry.
3. Solid understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), and lean manufacturing principles.
4. Proven experience in managing CAPEX projects and implementing automation strategies.
5. Proficient in PLC and HMI.
6. Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage a labor force effectively.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
8. Ability to monitor and analyze production rates to drive improvements.
9. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
10. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
