Assistant Controller

Established in 1992, our client is a global franchise organization providing installation, maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and indoor air quality systems for both commercial and residential!

Specific Responsibilities:

• Financial Management and Reporting: Regularly update and ensure compliance of financial reports with accounting standards. Prepare detailed financial analyses and reports for upper management.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage annual budget proposals, conduct expenditure forecasting, and provide variance analysis to support strategic financial decisions.
• Team Leadership and Development: Recruit, train, and manage the accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement in accounting practices.
• Operational Excellence: Audit and enhance accounting processes for efficiency, ensuring the reliability and accuracy of financial data.

Job Requirements:

• Advanced Financial Analysis: Proficiency in creating and interpreting financial statements to guide strategic decision-making.
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks Online: Skilled in utilizing Excel and QuickBooks Online for financial modeling, data analysis, and automation of tasks.
• Comprehensive Knowledge of U.S. GAAP: Deep understanding of GAAP principles and their application in financial reporting.
• Experience with Financial Close Processes: Control the financial close process, ensuring accurate representation of financial periods.
• Management and Leadership: Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and develop the accounting team.
• Effective Communication: Excellent communication skills for articulating financial information to diverse stakeholders.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulousness in tracking and recording financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and reliability in financial reporting.
