Job Details:
We are seeking a dynamic and highly-motivated individual to join our team as a Permanent Assistant Controller. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in our financial department, specifically within the manufacturing industry. You will be responsible for assisting the Financial Controller in managing and controlling business operations’ financial activities. The role requires a deep understanding of construction accounting, financial reporting, general ledger, cost accounting, and financial accounting.

Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Assistant Controller, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Assisting the Financial Controller in preparing and presenting financial reports, budgets, and financial forecasts.
2. Ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all of our accounting tasks.
3. Supervising and participating in the preparation of various financial statements and reports.
4. Overseeing accounting operations, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets.
5. Assisting in the development and implementation of cost-effective systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information.
6. Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements and professional standards.
7. Providing leadership and support to accounts receivable and payable departments.
8. Managing the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
9. Assisting in the development and management of financial systems and policies.
10. Collaborating with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Assistant Controller role should possess the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
3. Proficient knowledge of construction accounting, financial reporting, general ledger, cost accounting, and financial accounting.
4. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. Proven experience in financial analysis and forecasting.
6. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
