Application Engineer

Based in the Downtown Manhattan, NY we are the leader in FPGA-based high-performance and ultra-low latency market data solutions for the financial industry. We are headquartered overseas in Europe and are a leading hardware company providing ticker plant products for low latency trading solutions for institutional traders and high performing retail investors.

We are seeking a Application/Sales Engineer (embedded / C/C++ / Linux) to support our growth in North America. You will collaborate with our engineering team to support our North American customers in addition to building custom solutions, API's and diagnosing user errors, and handling some post-sales responsibilities with onboarding and set up.

Is your background a fit? Apply if you meet these criteria:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other related fields
• 3+ years of experience in application development, especially in the full SDLC (software, embedded software, mobile, web apps, etc.)
• Object oriented coding languages: Java, Python, C/C++, C#, Scala, etc.
• Strong understanding and experience of Linux command line & Linux Kernels
• Strong understanding of networking (multicast, TCP/UDP, routing...).

Desired skills, but not required:

• Customer facing technical experience (solutions engineering, tech support, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, etc.)
• Experience working within the trading industry
• Experience with low latency market data feed protocols (ITCH, XDP…), order execution protocols, ticker plant technology and API (such as Thomson Reuters, Activ, WOMBAT, Exegy…)
• Experience with FPGA
