Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and participate in the construction and maintenance of aerial and buried telecommunications systems.
2. Ensure all projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet all necessary safety standards.
3. Coordinate with team members, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operation of projects.
4. Train and mentor crew members, instilling a strong understanding of safety protocols, technical procedures, and quality standards.
5. Conduct regular inspections to ensure that all equipment is in good working order and meets all safety regulations.
6. Handle troubleshooting and problem-solving tasks related to OSP fiber, fiber, and dark fiber.
7. Maintain accurate records of project progress, including timekeeping, work orders, and daily logs.
8. Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and staff to ensure project specifications and expectations are met.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Aerial Lineman in the construction or telecommunications industry.
2. Extensive knowledge of fiber, dark fiber, and OSP fiber.
3. Proficiency in aerial and buried construction methodologies.
4. Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and motivate a team.
5. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
6. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
7. The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
8. A strong understanding of safety regulations and industry standards.
9. Physical fitness and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
10. A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to different job sites as needed.
11. Certification in First Aid and CPR is a plus.
