Our company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Senior Accountant with CPA to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about finance, have a keen eye for detail, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. This role will involve managing all accounting operations, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with GAAP. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of all aspects of general ledger accounting, government contract billing, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Senior Accountant with CPA, you will be expected to perform the following duties:

1. Lead and manage all aspects of the general ledger, including monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
2. Ensure accurate and timely government contract billing.
3. Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
4. Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, reporting any variances.
5. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
6. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
7. Provide financial analysis as needed, in particular for capital investments, contract negotiations, and pricing decisions.
8. Collaborate with auditing services to ensure the proper compliance of the financial statements.
9. Participate in financial standards setting and in the forecast process.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. A Master's degree is preferred.
2. CPA certification is required.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or related field.
4. Solid understanding of GAAP and government contract billing.
5. Proven experience with financial reporting, financial data analysis, auditing, and forecasting.
6. Proficiency in accounting software.
7. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
8. Excellent analytical skills and experience creating reports and presentations.
9. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
10. Ability to work independently, manage large, complex projects, and meet deadlines.
