We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Accounting Supervisor to join our team in the manufacturing industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated professional who is ready to take on a leadership role, overseeing our accounting department and ensuring all financial functions run efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting with a focus on manufacturing, general ledger, month-end closing, GAAP, reconciliation, and analysis.

Responsibilities:

As an Accounting Supervisor, you will have a broad range of responsibilities that include but are not limited to:

1. Supervising the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
2. Overseeing the month-end closing process, including the preparation and review of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
3. Ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal policies and procedures.
4. Performing variance analysis and preparing financial reports for management.
5. Assisting with the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasting exercises.
6. Identifying opportunities to improve processes and implement best practices.
7. Providing leadership and guidance to accounting staff, fostering an environment of continuous learning and development.
8. Liaising with external auditors and managing the audit process.



Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA designation is preferred but not required.
2. A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
3. Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles.
4. Proficiency in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
5. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
7. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
8. High attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate and high-quality work.
