Accounting Manager

Long-standing Real Estate Company with holdings in excess of $3 billion, whose primary business activities include real estate development, real estate ownership and management, commercial real estate lending, venture capital and private equity, and vineyards and wineries.

Job Details:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Accounting Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of our financial data, managing fixed assets, preparing financial statements, and overseeing the month-end closing process.

Responsibilities:

As an Accounting Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, and utilities.
2. Ensuring the accuracy of financial statements, records, and reports by implementing and maintaining appropriate systems for internal control
3. Managing and maintaining fixed assets, ensuring accurate capitalization, depreciation, and disposal of assets
4. Leading the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion
5. Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements
6. Ensure transactions are recorded properly
7. Manage development projects, including budgets and variance analysis

Qualifications:

• B.A./B.S. degree in accounting or finance
• CPA is preferred
• 2 - 5 years of experience in the industry
• Real Estate experience preferred
