The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing our Accounting team, while also playing a hands-on role with our finance and accounting functions.

The Accounting Manager should have 3+ years of experience overseeing month-end close, general ledger, and financial reporting, as well as budget/variance analysis and financial forecasting.

Job Details

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of our accounting department, including month-end closing, financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, and utilities.
  • Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, etc.
  • Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analyses, and provide accurate and timely financial information to the management.
  • Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal processes and financial regulations and laws.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and manage company audits.
  • Develop and manage financial systems and policies.
  • Train and mentor accounting staff to ensure efficiency and adherence to company policies.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • A Master’s degree or CPA is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position, preferably within the service industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial reporting, including experience with budget preparation, analysis, decision making, and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and government regulations.
  • Solid experience coordinating audit activities and managing reporting, budget development and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, and accounting for investments.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
