Accounting Manager

We are actively seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounting Manager to join our fast-paced finance team. This is a permanent position offering the successful candidate an opportunity to play a pivotal role in our company's financial operations. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting functions, integrating finance operations, forecasting and budgeting, handling tax matters, preparing financial reports, and ensuring organizational financial stability. This role requires a strong understanding of financial regulations, excellent problem-solving skills, and a keen eye for detail.

As an Accounting Manager, you will be expected to ensure our company’s financial security and prevent losses through a detailed analysis of our financial status, regular audits, and recommendations of solutions.

Responsibilities:
As an Accounting Manager, your duties will include but not be limited to:

1. Overseeing and managing the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.

2. Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, and report variances.

3. Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements.

4. Coordinating the preparation of regulatory reporting.

5. Researching technical accounting issues for compliance.

6. Supporting month-end and year-end close process.

7. Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.

8. Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

9. Working closely with the executive management team on strategic planning and business/financial forecasting.

10. Participating in the ongoing strategic planning process as an integral member of the senior management team.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following:

1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or relevant qualification is a plus.

2. A minimum of 2 years of proven work experience as an Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor, or Finance Manager.

3. In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

4. Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, like FreshBooks and QuickBooks.

5. Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.

6. Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.

7. Excellent knowledge of financial accounting, financial reporting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

8. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

9. Excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts.

10. Proven ability to implement strategic planning and strategic initiatives in a financial context.

11. Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
