Competitive base salary of $70,000 to $90,000 (depending on experience)

This is an in-person position at our headquarters in Sylmar

As our next Accounting Manager, you will lead our accounting department, driving accuracy, compliance, and strategic insights to propel our organization forward.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the accounting department
• Prepare | analyze financial statements, plus balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations to ensure the completeness and accuracy of financial data
• Ensure proper recording of journal entries by managing the general ledger
• Coordinate and assist with the annual audit process
• Develop | implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and standards
• Provide support and guidance to the accounting staff on technical accounting issues
• Analyze and monitor financial performance, identifying cost reduction or areas for improvement
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Assist with forecasting and budgeting processes
• Assist with lending needs and banking conditions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
• 3 to 5+ years of proven experience as an Accounting Manager or similar role
• In-depth knowledge of financial statement preparation and analysis
• Strong understanding of governmental accounting principles and regulations
• Excellent financial acumen and ability to interpret complex financial data
• Proficiency in debits, credits, and general ledger entries
• Proficiency in using accounting software such as Xero, Quicken, or similar systems
• Proficiency in using QuickBooks Online
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to forecast future financial trends

Skills:

• Proficient in QuickBooks Online
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to meet deadlines and work independently
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
