Accounting Manager

Job Details:

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounting Manager to join our team. This is a permanent position within the finance industry which offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our company. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, managing all financial reports, budgets, and forecasts, as well as ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee daily operations of the accounting department and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial information.
2. Coordinate and direct the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, and report variances.
3. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
4. Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting and ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
5. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
6. Conduct detailed financial analysis and present clear, concise summaries of findings to senior management.
7. Collaborate with other department managers to support overall department goals and objectives.
8. Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
9. Protect assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
10. Monitor and confirm financial condition by conducting audits and providing information to external auditors.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or other relevant certification is preferred.
2. Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the finance industry.
3. Proven working experience with ERP, Accounting, Financial Analysis, Budgets, Forecasting, Financial Reporting, GL Accounting.
4. Experience with creating financial statements and knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
5. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
6. Experience with financial reporting requirements.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly with Excel.
8. Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.
9. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
10. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
