Accounting Manager

Job Details:

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounting Manager to join our tech team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate individual to bring their expertise to a fast-paced and innovative technology company. The Accounting Manager will play a critical role in driving and managing our financial operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data, and providing financial insights to our leadership team. This role is integral to our finance department and requires a candidate with a strong background in accounting, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for technology.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, and utilities.
• Conduct complex financial analysis, including variance analysis to understand the financial performance of the business.
• Manage the fixed assets of the company, including tracking, recording, and depreciation.
• Perform monthly, quarterly and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts, coordination and completion of annual audits, and reviewing financial reports/support as necessary.
• Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.
• Coordinate the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, report variances.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing financial reports, and advising management on needed actions.
• Collaborate with CFO and executive team on strategic financial planning.
• Train and mentor junior staff in the accounting department.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. Master’s degree or CPA certification is a plus.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or related field, preferably in the tech industry.
• Proven working experience as Accounting Manager or Finance Manager.
• Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases.
• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to direct and supervise.
• Strong experience in variance analysis, fixed assets, and reconciliations.
• Excellent analytical skills with an ability to drive meaningful actions from large data sets.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
