Our manufacturing company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Accounting Manager to join our finance team. This role will be pivotal in overseeing our company's financial operations, ensuring accuracy, and driving profitability. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our accounting team, developing and implementing effective financial strategies, ensuring compliance with accounting laws and regulations, and maintaining the company's financial health. This position is full-time and offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Responsibilities

As an Accounting Manager, your primary duties will include:

1. Overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, tax preparation, payroll, and cash applications.
2. Preparing and presenting financial reports and risk analysis.
3. Ensuring compliance with state and federal tax laws and regulations.
4. Managing the month-end and year-end close process.
5. Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
6. Performing cost accounting and financial analysis to support business decisions.
7. Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts.
8. Managing and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
9. Overseeing the treasury function, ensuring cash flow is appropriate for the organization's operations.
10. Conducting regular financial auditing and coordinating with external auditors.
11. Staying updated on industry trends and changes in regulations.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Accounting Manager role should have:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role in the manufacturing industry, with a proven track record of success.
3. In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and GAAP Accounting principles.
4. Experience with financial reporting, cost accounting, financial analysis, and payroll management.
5. Proficiency in using financial software. Experience with JD Edwards is a plus.
6. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. A high level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality.
10. The ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
