Accounting Manager - CPA

Based in Oklahoma City, We are a commercial pharmaceutical manufacturer with over 30+ years of delivering end to end customized drug development globally.

We are looking for a talented Accounting Manager to oversee the accounting functions and daily operations of the accounting department. The ideal candidate will carry a CPA and have a strong background in Financial Statement preparation, general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and fixed asset accounting.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise accounting staff. Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.
• Enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles. Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
• Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.
• Coordinate and complete annual audits and provide recommendations to improve systems and procedures.
• Analyze general ledger variances and suggest corrective action for management’s approval to meet annual accounting financial objectives.
• Recommend forecasting requirements, draft annual budgets, and project expenditures to prepare periodic statements and meet financial regulatory requirements.
• Develop action plans, audit operations, and propose efficiency improvements

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• CPA is required
• 8+ years of accounting/finance professional experience
• Proven working experience as Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor, or Finance Manager
• Ability to direct and supervise team.
• Strong knowledge of financial statements and generally accepted accounting principles
• Advanced analytical skills to interpret financial data.
• Strong understanding of finance and accounting systems
• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Team player and open minded to different cultures
• Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software, and databases
