Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounting Manager for a permanent position within our expanding company. The ideal candidate will be a decisive leader with a deep understanding of accounting principles and practices. This role will oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including managing team members, ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded, and providing accurate financial reports to company executives.

Responsibilities:

As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for:

1. Overseeing the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.
2. Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department including: accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, check runs, fixed asset activity, debt activity etc.
3. Monitoring and analyzing accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
4. Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies and principles.
5. Coordinating and completing annual audits.
6. Meeting financial accounting objectives.
7. Establishing and maintaining fiscal files and records to document transactions.
8. Ensuring compliance with GAAP principles.
9. Assisting with tax audits and tax returns.
10. Directing internal and external audits to ensure compliance.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. 3+ years of experience in accounting management.
3. Proficient in Management Accounting, Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting.
4. Experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Financial Reporting, Financial Analysis, General Ledger, Payroll Services, Bank Reconciliation, and Financial Statements.
5. Strong knowledge of GAAP Accounting.
6. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
7. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
9. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
10. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
11. CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
