Job Details:
We are seeking a seasoned Accountant to join our dynamic team in the energy industry, specifically within the solar and renewable energy sector. This is a unique opportunity to apply your accounting skills to help shape the financial health of our company. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of accounting projects and tasks, including but not limited to accounts receivable, reconciliations, investor reporting, portfolio and asset management, variance analysis, revenue recognition, and revenue and cash forecasting.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and aging reports.
• Utilize Stripe billing system to process payments and maintain financial records.
• Conduct routine reconciliations and prepare accurate, timely financial statements.
• Develop and maintain investor reporting protocols, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
• Manage the company's portfolio and assets, ensuring all investments and holdings are accurately represented in financial reports.
• Perform variance analysis to identify discrepancies and opportunities for improvement.
• Implement and monitor revenue recognition policies in line with industry standards and regulations.
• Develop and maintain revenue and cash forecasting models to support strategic planning and decision-making.
• Assess and report on the financial health of the company, identifying areas of risk and opportunity.
• Lead and manage various accounting projects as needed.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance and competitiveness in the renewable energy sector.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the energy industry.
• Proficient in accounts receivable, aging reports, bank statements, Stripe billing, reconciliations, investor reporting, portfolio and asset management, variance analysis, revenue recognition, revenue and cash forecasting.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting and their application in the business environment.
• Demonstrated experience in managing the financial health of a company.
• Proven experience in managing accounting projects.
• Knowledge of the solar and renewable energy industry is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.
• CPA certification is a plus.
