We are currently seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented Permanent Accountant to join our vibrant finance team. Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Accountant, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

1. Preparing asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
2. Documenting financial transactions by entering account information.
3. Summarizing current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
4. Substantiating financial transactions by auditing documents.
5. Maintaining accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
6. Guiding accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.
7. Reconciling financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
8. Securing financial information by completing database backups.
9. Maintaining financial security by following internal controls.
10. Preparing payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.
11. Answering accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
12. Complying with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of proven accounting experience.
3. Proficiency in financial reporting, including the preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
4. Practical knowledge and experience with Sage 500 or a similar accounting software.
5. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting and legislation.
6. Accrual accounting experience.
7. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
8. Ability to manage large amounts of data and to compile detailed reports.
9. Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
10. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
11. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
12. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
